Braintree District Council has held its second Livewell Strategy workshop, meeting with stakeholders across Essex including Essex County Council, Integrated Care Board, voluntary, community and social enterprises, town councillors and other local agencies to discuss its Livewell Strategy and Healthy Housing Strategy. Also present were speakers from Mid & North Essex Mind and the Mid & South Essex Integrated Care System who gave updates about their work in the district.

The workshop was opened by Councillor Lynette Bowers-Flint, cabinet member for Housing, Health and Wellbeing, and welcomed Cllr Graham Butland, Leader of Braintree District Council, Cllr Tom Cunningham, Deputy Leader of Braintree District Council.

The new Livewell Strategy will focus on a number of topics to ensure Braintree District Council residents have the resources and support they need to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.

A district-wide focus on health and wellbeing, with strategies to address health challenges and solutions to prevent health inequalities is essential for a vibrant and resilient community.
