Women of Grace is a UK-based survivor led organisation that advocates against the practice of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) and all forms of Gender-Based Violence, educating about their lasting consequences and harms.
This grassroots organization engages with the community through workshops, talks, and activities to raise awareness and provide support services for those affected by FGM/C and abuse. Women of Grace have no restrictions when it comes to supporting women and girls dealing with trauma from FGM and are committed to empowering them to recognize signs of abuse and where to get help to protect them from harm, regardless of their background, religion, or race.
Their services include
Female Empowerment courses Online / in Person
Delivering skill building workshops led by trained facilitators and speakers who, can adapt even if
English is not their first language, to improve low self-esteem and build resilience.
Educational Regular Online Workshops for women
Raising awareness of the harmful practice, enhance their mental health equipping them with skills and knowledge.
Peer Support
Helping women come together in a safe place and encourage them to network and interact.
Referrals and signposting to other organisations / professionals
Collaborating with other specialist services, referring on for further intervention and signposting to other specific services for support.
